Meta Signs $27 Billion Deal with Nebius for AI Infrastructure
Meta signed a five-year agreement with Amsterdam-based cloud services provider Nebius Group. The deal is worth $27 billion and aims to expand AI computing capacities. This is a ninefold increase from the initial contract signed in November 2025.
Infrastructure plans: Under the agreement, Nebius will allocate GPUs worth $12 billion for implementation beginning in 2027. An additional $15 billion will be spent on purchasing computing capacities in future clusters. The project is based on the architecture of Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin chips.
Founder's position: Nebius founder and CEO, Arkady Volozh, noted: "We are pleased to expand our significant partnership with Meta, which will accelerate the development and growth of our core AI cloud business." The company forecasts revenues of up to $3.4 billion by 2026.
Market competition: Meta plans to increase capital expenditures to $135 billion in 2026. Nebius, which had previously signed a $19.4 billion agreement with Microsoft, is seriously competing with giants such as Amazon and Google. Although the company was formerly part of the Russian technology giant Yandex, it fully divested its Russian assets in 2024 and established itself in the European market.
