When talking about artificial intelligence, most time goes to discussing models: which is newer, stronger, smarter. Meanwhile, in projects, the winner isn't whoever chose the "best of the best", but whoever embedded a solution into a process and got a measurable result.

Discussing versions among technical specialists is normal. Inside business, this quickly becomes a conversation about nothing. Even the "strongest" model won't save you if:

Usually, Everything Starts Dramatically

Sometimes a simpler model wins for exactly this reason. For a manager, it's more important that the system works correctly nine out of ten times than that once it produces text you'd want to quote.

Before Discussing a Specific LLM, It Makes Sense to Answer Questions That Will Save Months:

  • Where is your most expensive routine (in hours and money)?
  • What does the process look like step by step right now?
  • What data is actually available and in what condition?
  • Which metrics will tell you it got better?
  • Where is an error unacceptable because the cost is too high?

Interestingly, when answers exist, model choice becomes secondary. In mature projects, the result sounds different.

Not "we implemented AI," but with its help "we reduced response time by 28%," "offloaded first-line support," "commercial proposals are prepared in 15 minutes instead of an hour," "conversion from lead to call grew X%."

I understand, it doesn't sound as impressive. But it sounds like a result people pay for.
